Well....here it is....the Farmer Files... Just a quick catch up for those not at all familiar with the character who scribbles on this page...well heres an update. Mr B left the shit and shovel office attitude to follow a different shit and shovel with his very own 100 acre dream farm somewhere in the Northern NSW countryside. Swapping his Boss Suits for King Gee overalls and his Mont Blanc pen for a sheaf knife he will be regulary keeping us updated on how those folks not in the concrete jungle get by and also more importantly keep in beer. Also you will be kept up to date on how many people along the way Mr B manages to piss off and then constantly make up with...all in the constant struggle to become a local. 15.12.06 As your dear readers may recall...after 11 long months of abstinence, I finaly walked into my new "local", the infamous Mt Warning Hotel in the picturesque village of Uki in the Northern Rivers district of NSW. Your readers may also recall how I was booted out about two hours later for arguing with the barman. Well....I crawled back in last night. Jim is the barmans name. We're good mates now me and Jim. I....apologised (!). I also met the oldest farmer in the world. John Parsons Pearson? ..Paterson?...anyway...Johnny. He gave Trevor a hug when he walked in and I slowly backed away...no-one needs to see that shit in some backwoods pub. Jesus! I had to walk outside and check the name of the place again...is this Mount Warning or Mount Brokeback. And speaking of signs...there's a great one as you walk in. It says: "No dogs in this section of the bar" In this section. You see? If it was a Pub in Sydney the sentence would stop after the first two words. What the sign is really saying is, "Welcome to all dogs. Please have a seat over there." (Heres) Cheers.
